Experience"Mr. Grajek's current and innovative strategies helped the student (a 14-year old male with poor organizational skills, poor reading comprehension and writing skills) to have a successful year with much improvement"

One of the best presenters in the courses I have taught at the University of Michigan Dearborn since 2005." —Jamie Shinhee Lee, PhD, Assistant Professor of Linguistics Read complete recommendation. While my career in education is just beginning, I have long demonstrated my teaching abilities with results. Taught English and Special Education since 2012 I currently teach at Clara B. Ford Academy (Vista Maria) a school for young women who are neglected, delinquent, or at-risk. 20 years of parenting "A" students Though my boys attend public schools, their education was supplemented by "home school" through regular lessons or informal teachable moments. This has resulted in extremely well-adjusted "honor" students who love to learn on their own.. Substitute teaching since 2008 I served as a substitute teacher for Detroit-area public schools (all grades K-12) in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, and Garden City. I also taught at a school for students with autism. Here are some of my recent accomplishments:
8 months of student teaching— General Education and Special Education In the Fall of 2010 and Spring of 2011, I proudly served at top-tier elementary, middle, and high schools. I developed and executed lesson plans to expose students to great literature, and using these works to inspire students to write, create projects and learn vocabulary. I engaged in one-on-one instruction with students with LD, CI, AI, and POHI in grades K-12. |
My wife Lori and I with son Andrew, who graduated with high honors. Andrew is attending University of Detroit Mercy, majoring in Architectural Engineering.
20 years of “real world” experience
With over two decades of success in the business world, I plan to model personal characteristics, and teach practices that companies seek in potential employees (such as punctuality, appropriate attire, and positive attitude). Also, I have learned special skills and knowledge in marketing communications, advertising, and graphic design. Abilities demonstrated at this time were in the areas of communication, technology, and people, notably in multicultural settings. My past employers include Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and Transmission Technologies Corporation. In a nutshell
